DON'T DRINK THE WATER  |

IMAGINE THIS SCENE A hot, dry summer's day. Everyone is thirsty. The dearest person you know, has just picked up a glass of deadly poison thinking it to be cool refreshing water. Totally unaware of its contents, they press the glass longingly against their lips to drink...... NOW THINK! YOU KNOW IT IS POISON.....THEY DO NOT.....so YOU have a choice..... Do you mind your own business and let the one you love die a horrible death....RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES? OR........Do you cry out with all your heart..... "DON'T DRINK !" and strike the glass out of their hand as hard as you possible can, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE? People have never before been so thirsty! Thirsty for TRUE love, joy and peace. Thirsty for REAL security and happiness. Thirsty for Life of Meaning and Purpose which is satisfying and fulfilling, BUT. . . Tragically, in order to quench this dreadful thirst, millions of people are drinking from the world's polluted system and though this 'water' seems pleasant enough to begin with....THE END RESULT IS DEATH (PROVERBS 14:12) WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO YOUR LOVED ONE. WE SAY IN LOVE TO YOU........ THE SYSTEM IS GOING TO KILL YOU.............. DON'T DRINK THE WATER! WHAT DOES IT ALL REALLY MEAN? SIMPLY THIS....... No one can find the answer in things. God has made it so! GOD created us and only in HIM can we find the true meaning and purpose of life. God gave us certain strong desires and needs (Sexual, Emotional, Physical, Spiritual) and originally ALL these were under control and in perfect harmony with God Himself. HOWEVER, when SIN entered the world (through man's rebellion and disobedience) these desires became warped and corrupted, so instead of looking to God directly for our needs,........we look to the things He had created instead (Romans 1:17 - 25) EXAMPLES......THE SEXUAL DESIRE. Without God,men and women must seek to find satisfaction in SEX ITSELF. Morals are thrown aside, sex itself becomes 'GOD.' Lust is now 'KING'....BUT Heartache,Guilt, Perversion, Pain, Disease and untold sorrow are the things that really reign! THE SPIRITUAL DESIRE. but without God, man loses sight of his ultimate goal and tries desperately to......'Get it all in' during his brief life span on earth. Materialism becomes 'GOD.' Pride is now 'KING' but fear. Nervous diseases, Heart attacks, insecurity, alcoholism, drug addiction and endless striving are the merciless rulers over his existence. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS, Jesus spoke to a woman (who had been married 5 times and was trying to quench her thirst with yet another relationship) and He said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water, shall thirst again."(John 4:13) (and again and again and again!)STOP DRINKING THE WATER! THE ANSWER GOD GAVE US THESE DESIRES, BUT SEEKING THESE THINGS WITHOUT HIM IS LIKE DRINKING SEA WATER,..... IT ONLY MAKES YOU MORE THIRSTY AND IN THE END IT WILL DESTROY YOU! Jesus said, "Put God first in your life and all your needs and desires will be satisfied in the most righteous way. (Matthew 6:33) Only Jesus can truely satisfy. Only Jesus can truely quench your thirst. Listen to his words:------- "If any man thirst, Let him come to ME and drink, for whoever BELIEVES IN ME shall have rivers of LIVING water flowing out of his innermost being." All of us have sinned but God is offering the free gift of eternal life to as many as will believe! Jesus paid the full price for your sin on the cross of Calvery with HIS OWN BLOOD......HE TOOK YOUR PLACE. To receive God's forgiveness:- 1. Repent....turn from all sin Romans:

Sinners Prayer:- Heavenly Father: .I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sin. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen. If you read the Sinners Prayer and truely believe the words you read, then Praise the Lord as you have been saved 2. Receive.....ask Jesus to save you, then accept HIM by Faith, into your heart. 3. Confess......tell others that Jesus Christ is now Lord of your life. If you do this with all your heart, you will be drinking from the fountain of LIVING WATER, as it springs up from deep within you, to EVERLASTING LIFE. |
