The work of Advent is based in Wales, UK and is to proclaim that Jesus Christ is alive today and to join with others in preparing the way for him to return to this earth just as he said he would at the end of this age. The signs around us at this time tie up very closely with those that Jesus said would be present at the time of his second coming. He is now "right at the door".

The work began in 1995 with selling Christian books and cards from local market stalls. Although this proved fruitful locally it also led to networking with other believers in Wales. Through this networking it was revealed that one of the great needs in Wales is for believers in Jesus Christ to join together in intercessory prayer – this will prepare the way for what God wants to do in Wales.

The word of God says "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Surely this land is in desperate need today and our only hope is for the people of God to seek him with all their heart and call on his name.
